Accessibility statement

We build to WCAG 2.2 level AA. This page says how far we've got, in specifics, and how to tell us when we've got it wrong.

What we're aiming for

We build this site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That is the standard most accessibility law around the world points at, and it is the standard we hold our clients' projects to, so it is the one we hold ourselves to.

We are not there yet on every page. This statement says where we are, in specifics, rather than displaying a badge and hoping nobody checks.

How the site is built

Every page is built from real headings, landmarks and lists, so a screen reader can navigate it by structure. There is a skip link to the main content as the first thing you reach by keyboard.

Everything that works with a mouse works with a keyboard. Menus close on Escape and return focus where it came from, the service tabs move with the arrow keys, and every focusable element has a visible focus ring. We never fall back to the browser's default and never remove it.

Motion respects your system setting. If your device asks for reduced motion, the animations stop and the background video is not loaded at all. That video is decorative, silent and carries no information.

Colour is never the only way we tell you something, form fields all have labels, and decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers rather than announced as meaningless images.

The accessibility controls

The button at the bottom-left corner of every page opens a panel of controls that change the site immediately: four text sizes, high contrast, a more legible typeface, wider line and letter spacing, underlined links, a stronger focus ring, stopped motion, a larger pointer, and a reading guide that follows your cursor.

Your choices are saved in your own browser and applied before the page paints, so they are still in place next time. They are never sent to us.

These controls are a convenience, not a substitute for the site working properly on its own. Your browser's own zoom, your operating system's contrast settings and your screen reader all work here too.

Conformance status

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard but some parts do not.

No independent accessibility audit has been carried out, and we have not tested every page with every combination of screen reader and browser. We would rather tell you that than imply a level of assurance we haven't paid for.

What we know falls short

No independent audit. Our assessment is a self-assessment using automated contrast measurement and manual keyboard testing. It has not been reviewed by anyone outside the company, and automated testing catches only a fraction of real problems.

Assistive-technology coverage. We have tested keyboard navigation across the site, but not every page with a screen reader.

The assistant. The chat assistant in the bottom-right corner writes its replies as it goes. It is keyboard-operable and its messages are readable, but we have not verified how every state of it is announced. If it gets in your way, everything it can tell you is also on the site, and the contact page reaches a person directly.

Documents. PDFs and brochures we link to are not always tagged for accessibility. Ask us and we will send you the content in a format that works for you.

What we've already fixed

Text contrast, August 2026. Small labels, category tags and muted body copy were measured across every page template and a number came in between 2.5:1 and 4.4:1, where 4.5:1 is required. The accent teal and the muted greys were darkened until every piece of text on the site clears 4.5:1, including white text on the teal avatars in the client area, which had been sitting at 4.25:1.

What we're doing next

A screen-reader pass over the main journeys, then an independent audit before we make any claim of full conformance.

We will update this statement when each of those lands, with the date, rather than quietly removing items from the list above.

Tell us about a problem

If something here stops you doing what you came to do, we want to know. It is the fastest way this list gets shorter. Tell us what page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what happened.

We aim to reply within two business days, and to tell you either when it will be fixed or how to get what you needed in the meantime. If you are not satisfied with our response, say so and it will go to a director.

How this was assessed

The design system, the controls and the contrast fixes described here were self-assessed in August 2026 by the team that builds the site: every piece of text on every page template measured for contrast against what is actually rendered behind it, manual keyboard-only navigation, and testing at browser widths from 320 to 1440 pixels with each text-size setting.

This website moved to WordPress in October 2026 with the same design system and controls. The new pages have not yet been re-measured one by one; that pass is the next item on the list above, and this statement will be dated again when it is done.
